Long exposures on film…

First off wishing you all a very happy n prosperous new year… πŸ˜€ Wish you all the very best!!!

So results of my first long exposures on film came through… and I loved them:) I was excited to see how tey turned out.. cus unlike digital… the results have a long round time πŸ™‚
sydney harbor bridge opera house Long exposures on film...
this one is from Sydney harbor… Again this shot is with the camera resting precariously on the edge of a concrete block… cus i thought i had forgotten my tripod’s mounting bracket (story in this post πŸ˜€ ) Post scanning the shots two were ruined cus of movement, one i knew about when i shot it, the other was disappointing… cus it was to be part of a two shot panorama (hence the bridge being clipped in this shot).. anyways.. thats life… you win some lose some πŸ˜‰

This shot is at Clear Lake, CA (where i got my first shots of milky way)

Again the shot turned out to be nice πŸ™‚
Loved the result. I had another one, though not as interesting as this one but still quiet nice. Check it out πŸ™‚

Conclusion… film is still a great medium… Oh n forgot to mention.. these are on medium format film… For now film is still economical (relatively) when one thinks of the medium format world. The resolution/DOF is just amazing and add the gorgeous look of film to the mix n its a winner πŸ˜‰

Have fun… will be wording a post about my trip to Tasmania soon…
